Veronica Modricker, Vice President of Business Development for MRA, has been nominated by peers to the position of Regional Executive Elect for HFMA’s Region 7. The Regional Executive position is a three year commitment to the organization that begins with the role of Regional Executive Elect.

Modricker, who has been with HFMA since 2000, currently serves as the President of the McMahon-Illini Chapter of HFMA, which serves more than 325 members in central Illinois. Her term, which began in June of this year, spans a pivotal time in healthcare finance. The organization’s 2015-16 national theme, declared by National HFMA Chair, Melinda Hancock, is “Go Beyond.” The McMahon Illini Chapter is accepting the charge by offering exceptional education and resources to fuel excellence for Chapter members and expanding to include Students, Payers, Physicians, Patient Access and Patient Financial Services.

“With ICD-10 and all the other factors influencing healthcare financial professionals, it is more important than ever for HFMA to help keep our Membership ahead of the curve,” stated Modricker. “Our role is to bring our Members the timely and relevant information on issues that can help make them competitive in the tremendous time of change.”

Modricker is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) and has worked in business development for MRA since 2004. She works with hospitals and health systems across the Midwest to help them capture the revenue they are entitled to for services provided to patients who have been involved in an accident. In addition, the company provides underpayment recovery from Government and Managed Care payers.

The Healthcare Financial Management Association is comprised of 11 regions across the country. The role of Regional Executive is to provide mentorship, guidance, and assistance to the Leadership of the Chapters served. Region 7 is comprised of 5 Chapters from Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. In another “Go Beyond” initiative, the Chapter is raising money for an organization that supports homeless veterans.
