Medical Reimbursements of America (MRA) announces the addition of seasoned revenue cycle veteran S. Mark Talley as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. MRA is a trailblazer in specialty reimbursement services for hospital revenue cycle departments and has shaped the motor vehicle and work comp industries, having managed more than 10 million medical claims with the Property and Casualty insurers since the company’s inception in 1999. Talley joins the company to shepherd in a new phase of growth and expansion for the organization which was acquired by Riverside Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm, earlier this year.

“We are excited about the vision, innovation and leadership Mark brings to the organization,” said Max Osofsky, General Partner at Riverside Partners. “His deep industry knowledge, coupled with his proven success in building results-driven teams fortifies MRA’s position as a market leader. His energy brings an exciting new dynamic to the organization,” he continued.

Talley’s expertise in all facets of revenue cycle transformation includes leading teams of more than 2000 analysts, coders, A/R experts, and revenue cycle management professionals as President and Chief Operating Officer of ZotecMMP, which operated as CbizMMP (CBZ on the NYSE) until the company’s acquisition by Zotec Partners in 2013. Throughout his career, Mark has been directly involved in defining and deploying long-term growth strategies and has driven change by focusing on consistent, measured results for customers, employees, and shareholders.

“MRA has become synonymous with delivering outstanding results for customers in really tough, often overlooked, areas of the revenue cycle,” said Talley. “I am proud to continue the legacy established over the past two decades and look forward to helping the fantastic existing leadership team shape the company to meet the changing demands and challenges of the healthcare industry.”

MRA’s Peer Reviewed by HFMA® solutions are a result of nearly 19 years of focus on specialty reimbursement niches, particularly in the area of accident-related medical claims. MRA’s proprietary platform, AcciClaim™, enables an expert team of more than 250 specialists to manage the coordination of benefits and related billing processes to deliver improved financial performance, increased patient satisfaction, and enhanced billing compliance to leading health systems nationwide.

Talley inherited a thriving operation that supports a stellar customer base of some of the most revered hospitals and health systems in the country. In his role as CEO, he is responsible for all facets of the company’s business development and service delivery. In addition, he is instrumental in the alignment of MRA with its allied company, Bottom Line Systems (BLS), a Kentucky-based company that leverages the deep and specialized expertise of highly-focused analysts to bring a financial, clinical, and contractual perspective to managing complex underpayments and mitigating denials with commercial and government payers. MRA and BLS are strategic affiliates in the Riverside Partners portfolio.
